Dance Worshop with John and Liz
Reviewed by MM

Meet John Narvaez: account executive for an investment company (Fortis Investors) AKA John Freddy, salsa dancer, performer and instructor. John looks like a clean cut all-American boy who speaks perfect English (he was born in Pereira, Colombia, came to the USA in 1985). When you meet him for the first time you would have hard time believing that this young man spends his free time dancing salsa or dancing anything at all. And you should see him dance! John doesn't go out to clubs very often. Between his career, his dance troupe's SALSAMANIA rehearsals, his classes (he teaches at Alberto's nightclub on Tuesdays and Renaissance Ballroom on Wednesdays) and his workshops, he still finds time (and strenghth?!) to go to the gym regularly.

John's partner Liz also came from Colombia the same year and now works full time as a power plant manager. (Some powerful girl!) They have known each other for 5 years.

Last Saturday John and  Liz presented one of their regular workshops for aspiring as well as more advanced salsa fans. 4 hours of intensive training cost you only $15 in advance and $20 at the door. And if you find two friends to bring with you, you get in free. How's that for a deal! Is it worth it? Judge for yourself.

Here are some of his students' comments:
"John and Liz have great patience and a knack for teaching. Kept their energy through the entire workshop" —Joy

"I enjoyed the workshop very much. I've been going to salsa clubs for awhile, but I've never had the "proper" training until today during the workshop. I liked the pace as well. It's not too fast. It's not too slow. It's perfect! I'd love to come for another workshop wherever it might be. Thanks!" —Tianyu "

"Great workshop + workout! Learned many ways to make the dance look beter and polished"

"You guys are sooooo goooood... You guys are awesome. We'll definitely continue to attend your classes since it's fun and happy time"

"It was a great workshop! I'm looking forward to the next one. Both of you were very good teachers - easy explanations, nice pace, good personal skills. You made eveyone feel welcome. Thanks again!"

"You covered a lot of material in one workshop. If there was a to "learn your salsa in 4 hours" course, then this would definitely be it. You should have this more often. Thanks"—Eric

"I liked the workshop, it was simple for me, but it refreshed and reiterated a lot of fundamentals" —Hormaz
